Trickster used to have a project called Will And The Robot.
Yeah, there was a
Lost in Space
influence behind the name, but that's not all. The human musician exerts
free will and the computer supplies robotic precision. Will And The Robot
weaved together soundbytes from musical grooves, old science fiction shows,
movies and cartoons to create new works. It's pretty cool (if you ask me).
This song was recorded as a test of a new software sound mixer and thrown
together in a day. There was no music added beyond preexisting soundbytes.
The groove was supplied by James Brown and the vocals were handled by
the Lost In Space robot
,
the Outer Limits Control Voice
and
Mister Arkon (John Carradine on Lost In Space)
. There's even
a moral
. The result is a grooving sound montage about the evils of television. I really wish I knew how to use SoundWorks at the time, I could have done a much better job. Maybe one day I'll remix it. Maybe one day the Robinsons will return to Earth.
It's not very representative of Loke E. Coyote but
if you want to hear it, click here for
the entire 1.3mb long song
. Please make sure you click the sound type that works for you.
You'd be wise to try one of the smaller samples first.
