Nobody's Pawn
The Story |
Stag has had a dream about reuniting with Flower, but he refuses to be
seduced by the idea and proclaims he will not be her pawn. Flower rails
against control, by the gods, goddesses and Stag, and declares she will
not be anyone's puppet. Hermes replies that she has acted of her own will
and refuses to accept any blame for her actions.

Lyrics:
Last night, I dreamed of you
Sometimes I might, but I don’t want to
I don’t want you, creeping into my head
I didn’t invite you, back into my bed
I dreamed of the two of us, getting back together again
Even though you shattered my trust, like a rose in liquid nitrogen
I refuse, to be your pawn
I refuse, and I’m glad you’re gone
I refuse to be a pawn of the gods
I will be free, I don't need your nods
I refuse, to be your pet
I refuse, to be your marionette
Aphrodite and Pan, Hermes, Demeter, and Hestia
Stag and the Boogie Man, any and all of the rest of ya
I refuse, to let you call the shots
I refuse, to be one of your robots
all we told, is all we see
there's no control, to our prophesy
we merely talk, to light your way
the path you walk, we can not say
every step along the way, has been of your own choosing
soon you’ll have to say, farewell to what you’re losing
when you choose, you stake your claim
and we refuse, to take your blame
