Where and When is teX-Day?

Well we wouldn't call it "teX"-Day if we were having the festival in New York, now would we? It's still pretty cold in May up at Brushwood. But, as Rev. Ivan Stang puts it: "In May, the weather in Texas is still quite Earth-like". In fact, early May is great weather in central Texas. Nights are comfortably cool, and daytime temperatures range from the 70's to low 90's. If you live in colder climates, this will be your FIRST CHANCE to GET NAKED and run around in the woods in 2007.

teX-Day will be held at Dragonz Wylde Ranch, which is located about 40 miles from Austin in Red Rock Texas. The Ranch used to be called High Rock because the highest point in three counties is up on the hill there. But there was another High Rock Ranch so they changed their name to Dragonz Wylde. The town is named Red Rock because there are lots of red rocks. In fact, during one festival, "Bob" magickally appeared on a red rock cliff at the ranch. We knew this must be an omen - a sign we must BE THERE and BE READY on teX-Day.

DWR is a new Pagan owned and operated 50 acre chunk of beautiful Texas forest and meadows, which is pretty surprising considering how close it is to those futuristic sci-fi megalopolis hell worlds Dallas and Houston. It's got plenty of camping space and a field that's large enough for the saucers to set down. The Church of the Subgenius, Wiccabilly Circus and Dragonz Wylde Ranch will not be held responsible for anyone or anything that is out in the field and gets squashed when the space ships land.

As if that's not enough motivation for you to GET YOUR ASS TO TEX-DAY III, Here is a link to a review by Ivan Stang of another festival held at the same Ranch. A festival where Ivan RANTED HIS ASS OFF, had a GREAT TIME, almost ran over a DRUNK WOLF, and helped a "bobbie" or two with their SEXUAL FANTASIES by talking about Connie. The devival will start Thursday May 3 and continue til Sunday the 6th. If anyone survives thru the weekend and still wants to wait for the scheduled appearance of the saucers on 5/7 (which is the actual teX-Day), that's all cool. Bring extra beer. And if it turns out to be just a drill and they don't show up, you can go home with a massive hangover to help you remember the fest. In any case, YOU WANT TO BE READY!
